Children are introduced to horses at an early age with stick horses and rocking horses, and they continue to be fascinated by them throughout childhood. This study uses that interest and curiosity to help children learn the breeds of horses, the anatomy of horses, the history of horses, famous horses in history, and more.
What is the "gait" of a horse? How did horses impact American history? From the early horse-drawn chariots to the swift couriers used to carry battle plans, horses have helped expand civilization. From Egyptian pharaohs to Alexander the Great, from Leonardo da Vinci to Justin Morgan, history is filled with the hoof prints of horses and wonderful tales of adventure and excitement.
The Horses unit is in electronic format, meaning your children can work through the study interactively, clicking on the links in each lesson to further their own investigation. Each day's lesson plan has been written in two levels: Lower Level (elementary grades) and Upper Level (junior/senior high grades), enabling the whole family to learn together! Includes Horses Notebooking Pages.
The Horses unit study is already receiving wonderful reviews and is putting the excitement back into learning for many families—join the fun!

Here's what another homeschooling parent has to say about this study:
“. . . This is my first year to use Unit Studies. After purchasing "Horses" for my 8th grader and seeing her dive right in with such enthusiasm, I got her 5 more! She was so excited to pick the topic of her learning, I was humbled. We are all SO excited about our new adventure in homeschooling this year using these Unit Studies. Thank you so much Amanda, your studies are making all the world of difference in our homeschooling experience, wish I had discovered them sooner.”
