Thanksgiving is such a special time for Americans: a time to give thanks to God for our many blessings and to learn about the history of this country and the people who marked this special day of thanksgiving together. Begin the study at the end of October this year, and complete it just in time for Thanksgiving.
Take a peek at some of what you'll experience in Thanksgiving.
History will come alive as the story of the Pilgrims and Native Americans unfolds before you. Come relive the adventures of the Pilgrims, and learn more about their commitment, determination, and deep faith in God. Through Internet links, students will visit the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation. They will read journal entries of William Bradford, take a virtual tour of a Wampanoag home site, and enjoy Thanksgiving projects for kids of all ages.
The Thanksgiving unit is in electronic format, meaning your children can work through the study interactively, clicking on the links in each lesson to further their own investigation. Each day's lesson plan has been written in two levels: Lower Level (elementary grades) and Upper Level (junior/senior high grades), enabling the whole family to learn together! Includes Thanksgiving Notebooking Pages.
