Amanda's Speaking Schedule Amanda will be speaking around the country in 2009, focusing on offering encouragement and motivation to parents. Married for 27 years with 20+ years as a parent, she has a wealth of experience and laughter to share with her audience. She is a seasoned and sought-after speaker, having traveled across the country to speak to thousands, offering encouragement, laughter and hope. As a guest speaker at conferences across the country, Amanda uses both humor and candor to share her message of encouragement as well as practical help for homeschooling parents trying to find a better way to educate their children. Amanda is a CLASS graduate (Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Services), and has spoken in front of both church and convention audiences. With more than 16 years of homeschooling experience, Amanda and her husband now have two children through college (one is a veterinarian and one is a business owner) and a rambunctious ninth-grader that keeps things interesting. As a home educator, she was motivated to develop a more effective means of learning for children and a more interesting method of teaching for parents, which resulted in the creation of several series of unit studies. Her unit studies and conference presentations have become extremely popular with homeschool families from coast to coast. Amanda speaks across the country at churches, women’s retreats, and homeschool conferences, sharing encouragement and helpful information from her heart, using her own trials and tribulations as examples. Having survived two serious automobile accidents and numerous surgeries in the past few years while homeschooling, Amanda is uniquely qualified to share the ups and downs of reality family life and homeschooling. Because of her experiences, Amanda can relate to audiences not only as a teacher, parent and homeschooler - but as a compassionate and understanding friend.
