Why are the new studies on CDROM?
All of our Unit Studies and other books are in Adobe pdf format on CDROM. We use this format because it works on most Windows and Macintosh systems, and the Adobe Reader software that you need to use the books is already included in most computers used today. You can download the Adobe Reader software for FREE here if it isn't already on your computer. The system needs to have the free Adobe Reader 4.0 or higher software to be able to use the "clickable" links embedded in the unit studies' daily lessons. If you would like to see how the studies will work on your system, join our Amanda Bennett Unit Study Yahoo group, and then try using some of the unit study samples in the "Files" section of the Yahoo group. Here's the link to our Yahoo unit study group: Amanda Bennett's Unit Studies Yahoo Group To use the study with the Internet, you will get online with your usual Internet provider before opening the unit study file, and then let the learning begin! As the students come across links that pertain to questions or words, they just click the link and a window will open beside the unit study text, displaying the online resource that goes with that particular part of the study. When they are finished with that site, they just close that Internet box and continue with their study until the next link is needed. Simple to use, and so much FUN for everyone! The study is printable, provided that you use this with your own children. We are trying to make the learning process fun and simple -- to be enjoyed by both parents AND students! Here are the titles of the new unit studies on CDROM: Written with you and your family in mind, these books offer weekly learning objectives and much more. The daily lesson plans and assignments are included in the book, ready for immediate use. The research and preparation have been done for you! You will know what to do each day, what to cover, and what is important about this topic. You will find that most of these guides use the Internet as a primary resource -- easier on everyone, with no special books required. These unit study guides include daily
lesson plans, containing: "Once again, Mrs.
Bennett has put together a study that far exceeded our expectations..." "I think the whole
study is wonderful. The websites are great and the questions to answer "...Another thing I like about this study is the links. If we were to find all that information (without the Internet), we would need many books (probably lugged home from the library), and it would take time to find the articles in the books that would pertain to the topic..."
